7 Members of Academy get promoted in the Main Composition of Locomotive in 2018
In 2018 Locomotive Tbilisi ended Erovnuli Liga on the 6th position. Like the previous years, a few of the members of the academy promoted into the main membership.
This year, Beka Buighlishvili, Tornike Dzebniauri, Luka Janashia, Levan Grdzelidze, Lasha Ozbetelashvili, Shota Shekiladze and Revaz Injgia enjoyed their debut matches in Locomotive.
Besides these seven footballers, the members of the first team are Luka Jafaridze, Aleksandre Andronikashvili and Sandro Shetsiruli. All of them played their debut matches with Loco’s kit in the last season.
Out of the members of the academy, Tornike Dzebniauri (20) and Revaz Injgia (17) have played in most of the matches of all. Lasha Ozbetelashvili has showed himself in 5 matches, 3 – Levan Grdzelidze. Beka Buighlishvili, Luka Janashia and Shota Shekiladze played in one match each.
All the promoted footballers of the academy are the members of the U19 squad of Locomotive. In addition, all of the seven are in different age groups.
In 2018, Under 19 team of Locomotive has become the champion of the country for the first time. Suliko Davitashvili’s team ended the whole season without a loss and won 25 matches out of 28.
