Kohreidze’s poker and Kekelidze’s goal helped us defeat Sioni

In the 24th round of the National League, Sioni Bolnisi lost 3-5 at home to Locomotive Tbilisi.

In the 8th minute, Lasha Kokhreidze put us ahead with a goal assisted by Luka Kekelidze. In the 24th minute, Kokhreidze doubled the lead. In the 31st minute, Sioni was awarded a penalty. Saba Asanidze saved Dato Sichinava’s spot kick, but Sichinava scored on the rebound to reduce the deficit. In the 33rd minute, Kokhreidze’s third goal restored the two-goal advantage. In the 42nd minute, Mehrubon Karimov’s own goal made it 2-3.

In the 53rd minute, Sichinava scored again to level the score at 3-3. In the 68th minute, Luka Kekelidze put us back in front, and in the 75th minute, Kokhreidze scored his fourth goal of the match. In the 79th minute, Dato Sichinava had a chance to complete his hat-trick, but Asanidze once again guessed the right direction and saved the penalty. Our goalkeeper ended up saving two spot kicks in total.

Our team has played 24 matches in the National League and currently sits in 6th place with 31 points. The same number of points is shared by Iberia 2 in 5th place and Sioni in 7th place. In the next round, on September 27, we will host Iberia 2 in Saguramo.
