Women’s Equality supporting campaign - #MenCare

In the framework of UN population fund 16 days campaign against gender violence, the footballers of Locomotive Tbilisi took part in the news week.

Not only the members of U19 academy, but all the footballers of the main composition took part in the campaign, which consisted of 4 parts and took place in Saguramo.

During the informational meeting, being guided by the trainers of the campaign “MenCare, the footballers talked about the importance of men’s involvement in terms of achieving gender equality.

#MenCare is a global campaign, which is carried out in more than 40 countries of the world. The goal of the campaign is to encourage the engagement of men, as caring fathers and partners, in the process of promoting healthiness and welfare of families, in order for the men to be more supportive towards women’s equality.

Locomotive Tbilisi is actively engaged in the campaigns organised by the UN population fund. On the 30^th of May this year, the Memorandum of Cooperation was drawn up between UN population fund, Locomotive and GFF.
