Locomotive beat Chikhura with 3 ball difference
In the 18th round of Erovnuli Liga, Locomotive Tbilisi gained victory over its direct rival, Chikhura Sachkhere. The match, which was held on May 20, in Ivantsminda, ended in favor of Giorgi Devdariani’s team 3:0.
Both of the two halves of the match ended with Locomotive’s superiority. Devdariani’s team opened the score on 18th minute. A combination of Giorgi Gabadze and Vato Arveladze ended with a goal by Irakli Sikharulidze.
Before Sikharulidze would have scored, Samurkasovi had been trying to score from a long distance. A shot by Locomotive’s midfielder was repelled by Dino Hamzic.
On 26th minute, Gabadze had to leave the field as he got an injury after a crash with Giorgi Chikvaidze. He was substituted by Rezi Chiteishvili.
On 43rd minute Locomotive netted the 2nd goal. Sikharulidze played double and thus has gathered 15 goals totally in Erovnuli Liga. Loco’s forward has scored thanks to Arveladze’s pass again.
On 50th minute Giorgi Rekhviashvili raided Chikhura’s gate for the 3rd time. A defender of Loco, having received a pass by Gega Diasamidze after a corner kick, scored as he hit the ball with head.
On 74th minute, Irakli Sikharulidze managed to perform a hat trick. Irakli Bughridze, who entered the field through sibsitution, made a good transfer of the ball to Loco’s number 7, although Sikharulidze’s ball missed the target with just a little distance. On 79th minute, Mikheil Sardalishvili was trying to score from a long distance, although Revaz Tevdoradze could repel the ball on a corner.
Aleqsandre Andronikashvili, entering the field instead of Kiknadze and having a debut match in Erovnuli Liga, made a good pass to Diasamidze on 80th minute and thus took him directly to the goalkeeper. Locomotive’s number 10 was outclassed by Hamzic and the favorable moment was weakened.
After the victory against Chikhura, Locomotive has 27 points in total and is back to the 4th position. Devdariani’s team precedes Chikhura with 1 point. Erovnuli Liga will be resumed with the match of 19th round, on July 21.
