Locomotive beats Sioni with Revaz Injgia’s debut goal
In the 33rd round of Erovnuli Liga, Locomotive Tbilisi defeated Sioni Bolnisi. On November 25th, the match at Mikheil Meskhi spare stadium ended in favor of Lasha Chaghiashvili’s team 2-1.
Before the beginning of the match, Loco’s head coach made a forced substitution within the composition. A few minutes before the starting of the game, Nika Chanturia got a muscle injury during the warming up exercises. Lasha Gvalia took his place in the starting lineup. Teimuraz Shonia played on the position of central defender.
The first half ended without a goal. Locomotive possessed a territorial priority, however, neither of the teams managed to create goal-scoring moments.
Loco started the second half actively and opened the score at the 58th minute. Sioni’s door was raided by Mamia Gavashelishvili, scoring the 10th goal in the current Erovnuli Liga. The goal scoring pass is on the accont of Otar Kobakhidze.
After the goal, Sioni had some attempts to balance the score in a few of the episodes. A distant shot by Zviad Sikharulia was repelled by Revaz Tevdoradze on a corner, Jaba Ugulava’s shot was blocked by Levan Kurdadze.
In order to activate the wings, Lasha Chaghiashvili carried out two substitutions. Instead of Rati Ardazishvili Oluremi John was engaged in the match, as for Revaz Injgia, he was substituted by Otar Kobakhidze.
The final result of the match was fixed by Injgia. Loco’s 17-year-old striker netted a beautiful goal against Sioni at the 80th minnute. The goal against Bolnisi is a debut one for Injgia in Erovnuli Liga.
In 6 minutes, the host team broke one goal. Bidzina Makharoblidze made an use of the mess in the penalty area and scored from a short distance. During the compensated time by the referee, Chaghiashvili made the third substitution as well. Mamia Gavashelishvili was substituted by Davit Jikia.
After 33 rounds, Locomotive possess 33 points, occupying the 6th position. The following match is planned for November 30th, against Kolkheti 1913.
