In the 12th round of Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga of Georgia, Locomotive Tbilisi hosted “Torpedo” Kutaisi at Mikheil Meskhi spare stadium. One of the leaders of the competition lacked footballers during the meeting, namely, the defender, Oleqsandr Azatski and Mate Tsintsadze. Locomotive also had missing members in the staff, Aleqsandre Gureshidze was left out of the match as he had received a red card in previous match, as for Luka Kikabidze, he was not able to help his team due to his trauma.
The guests took an active start and managed to create dangerous moments even in the debut of the match. The period of the 10th and the 15th minutes of the clash turned out to be quite undesirable for the hosts. First, Luka broke into the penalty area and his shot was repelled by Nodar Kavtaradze in time. The latter surpassed the defender and opened the score. 2 minutes after the goal, receiving a pass from Gigauri, Kavtaradze broke into the penalty area, captured Irakli Komakhidze’s movement, knocked down the defender of Locomotive, Kavtaradze, and thus the referee signaled a penalty. The penalt kick resulted into the second goal thanks to Budu Zivzivadze, thus the guests were promoted 0:2 already in the debut. Locomotive had trouble concentrating, as Torpedo continued to pressurize. In the first half, no more goals were scored.
From the very beginning of the second half, Loco was trying to put themselves in order and to create som moments, however, they did not succeed to show off against the strong opponent. Players of Kutaisi were responding with counter attacks to the positional strikes of Locomotive. One of these attacks ended with Richard Luka moving from the wing to the penalty area and kicking moderately 0:3. Locomotive struck once again and satisfied themselves with the goal of prestige, at the end of the match Temur Shonia scored one more goal with Davit Samurkasovi’s pass. Within the compensated time by the referee Loco still had a moment, unfortunately, a goal could not be scored. 1:3 in favor of Torpedo.
