The first clash of the third round of Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga has been held at Ramaz Shengelia Stadium in Kutaisi. Torpedo Kutaisi was hosting Locomotive with a status of the leader of the tournament. The popularity of the host team was determined by the striking series of 27 won matches, as well as, by the victories gained in the first two rounds by Torpedo. The opposition between the teams appered to be equal.  The tactical struggle between the coaches made the match prominent, the teams had trouble maintaining prolonged advantage. Torpedo, being a host team, was quite active and created several good moments in the vicinity of the guest’s door. However, the keeper of Loco seemed to be playing accurately. In one of the episodes, Buliskeria repelled three balls consecutively. In their turn, Locomotive also mannaged to create some good moments, Roin Kvaskhvadze showed a good game but eventually turned out to be unlucky, as the first half ended without a goal.

The overall scene of the second half was the same. Torpedo and Locomotive took turns attacking each other’s doors.In fact, a substitute, Tornike Kapanadze, was not able to net in the empty door. Conversely, Locomotive used their moment, Kirkitadze got a wonderful pass from Davit Jiqia. He passed the ball to the penalty area where Temur Shonia succeeded to score a header 0:1.

Torpedo tried to equalize the score, but their raids lacked persistency. At each time, either the defenders of Loco repelled the ball, or the keeper got it easily. At the end of the match, Torpedo moved to the rival’s side almost with full membership on the field, thus Loco had a good chance to benefit from the moment, the guests had a few attempts to run rapidly but without any success. A minnute before the referee blew his final whistle, Luka Kikabidze broke into the space left at the wing, outclassed the defender and and sent the ball in a lower corner 0:2. Locomotive got 3 points which are of great importance and therefore, terminated the successful series of Torpedo.

After 3 rounds, Locomotive Tbilisi possess 6 points and occupies the leading position on the list currently, having the same amount of points, Torpedo occupies the third place.
