A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed among Locomotive, GFF and UNFPA

Locomotive Tbilisi, Georgian Football Federation and The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The official agreement about the cooperation was made in the office of Georgian Football Federation on May 30.

The Memorandum was signed by the technical director of Locomotive Tbilisi, Giorgi Kipiani, the president of Georgian Football Federation, Levan Kobiashvili, the representative on UNFPA in Turkey, and the director of the office in Georgia, Carl Coles.

The cooperation includes two basic directions:

Growth of masculine interaction in terms of achieving gender balance; and promotion of football among female adolescents in order to strengthen them.

With support of Locomotive and GFF, the footballers will take an active participation in those activities organised by UNFPA, that aim at the idea of gender balance and popularisation of healthy lifestyle.

One of such campaigns is“Men care”, which promotes the involvement of men in the process of achieving gender balance.

The cooperation among GFF, FC Locomotive and UNFPA started in 2017

With the joint efforts, “Father’s Cup” was conducted in 2017. In May 2018, the footballers of Locomotive joined the campaign “Men care”, which is being carried out with the financial support of Sweden within the framework of the joint program of the United Nations, “For gender balance”, organised by UNFPA and non-governmental organisation “We Care”.
