Kobakhidze’s 5th goal and important 3 points with Sioni

In the 24th round of Erovnuli Liga, Locomotive Tbilisi gained victory over Sioni Bolnisi. On September 15th, the match at Mikheil Meskhi spare stadium ended in favor of Lasha Chaghiashvili’s team with a minimal score.

The only goal is on Otar Kobakhidze’s account, who raided the guest team’s door at the 48th minute. For Kobakhidze, the goal against Sioni is the 5th in current Erovnuli Liga.

In the scoring episode, Davit Jikia and the replacement, Lasha Gvalia played well in the center. Loco’s striker blocked Sioni’s attack, and the goal-scoring pass was made by Gvalia.

Few minutes after the goal, Kobakhidze managed to perform double, but his penalty kick hit the post.

From Loco’s composition the match with Sioni was a debut for 33 year-old American Oluremi John, who substituted Jiqia at the 68th minute.

In a few minutes after entering the field, Remi played well at the penalty area, leaving Zuriko Davitashvili face to face with the goalkeeper, although Loco’s striker was  outclassed by Tornike Zarqua.

Olurem could have scored by himself, after a good pass by Kobakhidze from the right flank, American striker came close to the line, but the keeper of the guests played accurately.

In contrast to the second half, only two real goal-scoring moments were created in the first half. The guest team had a chance to score, but Revaz Tevdoradze played accurately and repelled the shot by Isiani.

Davitashvili had a good moment as well, although his shot was blocked by Isiani.

After 24 rounds, Locomotive possess 28points, occupying the 6th position. For the following match, Lasha Chaghiashvili’s team will be visiting Kolkheti 1913.
