Loco lost to Sion in the 19th round of League 2

The 2023 season has been renewed in the League 2. Our team played a home match against Bolnisi Sion at Mikheil Meskhi 2 and lost 1:2.

Returning to Meskhi 2, Loco took the lead in the first half with the goal of Lasha Ozbetelashvili in the 18th minute. Our team managed to control the game even after that and went into the break with an advantage.

The second half was bad for FC Locomotive. In the 49th minute, Nugzar Spanderashvili, the player of Sion, passed Ivane Khabelashvili to equalize the score, and in the minutes added by the referee, 20-year-old Nika Gambarashvili brought victory to Sion - 2:1.

As a result, Bolnisi Sion is in 6th place in National League 2 with 30 points, while Loco has 12 points left and is in 9th place in the draw table.

In the 19th round of the National League, FC Locomotive's rivals gave up their matches. Tbilisi Merani lost 1:5 against the leader of the draw Gareji, Martvili Merani lost 0:2 at home against Khobi, and Wit Georgia also lost 1:3 against Kolkheti on their own field.

In National League 2, Loco will play their next match against Dinamo Tbilisi 2 on August 8.
