50th TBILISI DERBY ENDS IN DINAMO’S FAVOR

50th Tbilisi Derby ended in favor of Dinamo Tbilisi. On August 12th, the match at Mikheil Meskhi spare stadium was won 2- 4 by Dinamo.

The match started with a minute silence.  The footballers of Locomotive and Dinamo once again paid tribute to the heroes who died in August War 10 years ago.

The guest team took the advantage in the first half, which was reflected in the score. Besides those two real goal-scoring moments by Mamia Gavashelishvili, Loco was not able to create any other dangerous moments.

Dinamo players scored 3 goals; At the 14th and the 34th minutes Budu Zivzivadze performed double, one goal was by Dmitro Ivanisenia’s authorship. In the episode of the second and the third goals, Loco’s goalkeeper, Luka Sherozia, was mistaken.

Lasha Chaghiashvili carried out some changes at the beginning of the second half. Tornike Dzebniauri was substituted by Zuriko Davitashvili. At the 48th minute, Dinamo scored their 4th goal. As for Zivzivadze, he became the author of hat trick.

At the 54th minute, Revaz Injgia was replaced by Rati Ardazishvili. In three minutes Loco scored a goal. Gavashelishvili turned Ardazishvili’s pass into goal. Before that, Davitashvili had real scoring moment, however, Loco’s striker was outclassed by the goalkeeper.

At the 60th minute, Gavashelishvili was given one more chance to score, but this time he missed the target. In the following episode, however, Loco’s forward managed to score.

Gavashelishvili was able to attack Sikachi’s door after a good pass from Lasha Gvalia, having entered the field through substitution, and thus he scored the 9th goal in the season.

In the last minutes of the match, Loco created several goal-scoring moments. Gavashelishvili and Ardazishvili were outclassed by the goalkeeper of Dinamo, as for Teimuraz Shonia’s shot, it turned out to be inaccurate.

After 20 rounds, Locomotive occupies the 6th place with 22 points.
