Chikhura shuts Locomotive out

“Locomotive could not succeed to become officially authorized participant of  Europa League, as they lost the match on their own field against “Chikhura” Sachkhere. In the following round, the  4^th place holder of Erovnuli Liga will have to fight a serious battle in order to gain 3 points in Bolnisi.

Levan Korghalidze’s team engaged in the match peacefully. The team were mainly concentrated on maintaining the ball and venturing on positional strikes. The first dangerous moment was created by Irakli Sikharulidze, however, the shot by the top scorer passed close to the post of Hamzich’s door.

Despite the fact that “Locomotive” possessed playing advantage, the Tbilisians got netted in their own door. This was made possible by Oleg Mamasakhlisi  at the  31^st minute and thus, the guests got promoted. Just 3 minutes after the goal, the hosts were saved from the second netting by Demetre Buliskeria.

Till the end of the half, “Locomotive” were struggling to find their way to Hamzich’s door, but in vain. Consequently, they had to give in 0:1.

Levan Korghalidze started to carry out some substitutions already in the beginning of the second half. Irakli Komakhidze was replaced by Tornike Kirkitadze. A minute after renewing the match, “Chikhura” raided Buliskeria’s door one more time. Demiko Chikhladze’s scoring increased the advantage of the Sachkherians up to 2.

“Locomotive” were hardly able to create any goal-scoring moments. For the greater part, it  would never come to the real threat. At the 73^rd minute, “Locomotive’s” misfortunate day got even worse when Levan Korghalidze was sent off the field from a spare chair.

In spite of this, Beka Dartsmelia still managed to raid the Sachkherians’ door with his effective play. However, the referee of the match disallowed the goal for offside. Generally, Bakur Ninua made a few arguable decisions this evening.

“Whatever happened, happened. I am not going to comment on the fact of sending me off. This is football, which means that emotions are always excessively released. I congratulate the rival on their victory. As for us, we will continue fighting for our goals”- claimed the head coach of “Locomotive” after the match was over.
