Tension, Drama and Locomotive’s 3 points gained against Dinamo Tbilisi

In the 31st round of Erovnuli Liga, a clash of principle took place at Dinamo Arena, where “Dinamo” Tbilisi were hosting “Locomotive”.

The teams started the match quite carefully. They were much more concerned with keeping the safety of their own doors rather than attacking. The first dangerous moment was created by Loco, when Kirkitadze, having broken into penalty area, kicked from an acute angle towards Perales, but missed the target. After that, Levan Korghalidze’s team came to be more courageous in the match. Both of the teams were trying to reach their best with a well-thought, combinational strikes.

29 minutes of the first half passed in a way that there was just one case of kicking towards a door (by “Locomotive”). At the 30th minute, Buliskeria had to repel Ninua’s penalty kick with fists. As for the overall result of the half, it passed without any scorings.

The spectators witnessed the same scenario in the second half. The much of the playing was carried out in the centre. The teams exchanged a few dangerous moments, though.

Levan Korghalidze started to carry out changes from the 77th minute, so Tornike Kirkitadze was first to show up on the field from the spare chair. He had missed much of the season due to his injury. Loco’s number 22 engaged in the match quite actively and gained two corner kicks for his team. Tornike Kirkitadze had a real opportunity to open the score, however, the defenders neutralized the situation. It was followed by the strike launched by him, which was about to be concluded by Gvalia but the hosts were saved as the ball hit the post. Within the additional time, Sikharulidze shot the ball over the door.

“Dinamo” had much of their forces distributed in strikes and thus, as it was expected, “Locomotive” were often given chances to carry out counter-attacks. It looked like the host team were to strike for several times in the final minutes, but it happened on the contrary - Loco did not seem to give in. Within the first additional minute, “Dinamo” was saved by Perales, when Tornike Kirkitadze kicked strongly from a penalty line.

Eventually, Kirkitadze got a well-deserved status of hero of the match. At the 4th minute added by the referee, Loco went on a counter-attack. Kicking the ball high, soft and measured, Davit Jikia, being a substitute, left Kirkitadze alone with the keeper. In his turn, Kirkitadze performed an acrobatic jump and passed the ball over Perales while being out of the door. Consequently, “Locomotive” earned 3 important points. Levan Korghalidze’s team possess 43 points and occupy the 4th position on the league table.
