Erovnuli Liga: The 6th goal by Teimuraz Shonia and a point gained against Saburtalo

In the 32^nd round of Erovnuli Liga, played draw with the leader of competition, Saburtalo. On November the 10^th, the match at Mikheil Meskhi spare stadium ended 1-1.

One of the leaders of Locomotive, Otar Kobakhidze, had to miss the match against Saburtalo due to his injury.

The guests took the advantage in the first half and it ended in favour of them as well, however, before the guests’ scoring, Loco could have opened the score.  The combination played by Davit Samurkasovi, Zuriko Davitashvili and Mamia Gavashelishvili ended with the shot by the latter, Mamia missed the target with short distance.

The score was opened at the 40^th minute by Dachi Tsnobiladze. The ball passed from the penalty was taken by the midfielder of Saburtalo in the penalty area, resulting in scoring a header.

Loko had an advantage in the second half. In two subsequent episodes, Gavashelishvili and Rati Ardazashvili missed their chances to score, as their shots turned out to be inaccurate.

In order to reinforce the attack, Lasha Chaghiashvili involved Revaz Injgia, Davit Jikia and Luka Kikabidze in the match. At the 88^th minute, Injgia’s well played episode was followed with the penalty kick signaled in the Saburtalo’s door. 11 meter kick was performed accurately by Teimuraz Shonia and thus he fixed the final result of the match.

28-year-old midfielder, wearing Loco’s T-shirt, has scored his 6^th goal in the current Erovnuli Liga.

After 32 rounds, Locomotive possess 35 points, occupying the 6^th place. Lasha Chaghiashvili’s team will play the next match against Sioni Bolnisi, on November the 25^th.
