Levan Korghalidze: There are no weak teams in semi-final

The teams participating in the competition have been paired after the coin toss of the Georgian Davit Kipiani Cup. As it is already known, “Locomotive” Tbilisi will try to get a ticket to the final playing against “Gareji” Sagarejo.


The Tbilisians are going to visit the rivals in Sagarejo. The semi-finals will be hold on October 23. As for the second semi-final match, it will be decisive for “Saburtalo” and “Torpedo”.

The head coach of “Locomotive” – Levan Korghalidze has made a commentary about the results of the tossing, as well as about the rival.

“To begin with, there are no weak teams in semi-final. That’s why we are going to face a very serious match and thus we need to undergo a thorough preparation. I believe in my team and I am quite sure that we will achieve a well-deserved and desirable result.

It is always hard to play on turf, especially when a team is used to playing and training on a natural pitch. We played the previous two matches on turf and have gained some necessary experience. Consequently, this is a match which is not going to involve any hindering factors for us.

I am well aware of “Gareji”, the team itself, as well as the head coach – a very nice, young and promising specialist. I hope that we will be playing in the final and are going to do our best for it” – claims Levan Korghalidze.
