March 21 – World Down Syndrome Day

March 21 is the world Down syndrome day. This year a campaign for raising awareness regarding this day is being carried out with slogan: “ My voice in society.”

The campaign was joined by Locomotive Tbilisi and the members of our team, - Nika Chanturia and Luka Kikabidze.

''It is a pleasure that our club has taken part in the campaign dedicated to the world Down syndrome day. It is a duty for all of us to help the people with Down syndrome to integrate into society. To my mind, sport and especially football is the best way for their socialization''.- says Nika Chanturia.

World Down Syndrome Day has been observed under the aegis of the United Nations since 2011. One child out of every 800 is usually born with Down syndrome.
