Locomotive starts the 4th Circle with Loss
In the 28th round of Erovnuli Liga, Locomotive Tbilisi was defeated in the match against Samtredia. On October 6th, the match at Davit Abashidze stadium in Zestafoni was lost by Lasha Chaghiashvili’s team with the minimal score.
Ucha Lobzhanidze could not help his team because of his injury. He will not be able to play till the end of the season.
Due to Levan Qurdadze and Aleqsandre Andronikashvili’s disqualification, Lasha Chaghiashvili made some amendments to central back and midfield. In the central back, Nika Chanturia was paired with Teimuraz Shonia. In the midfield, Davit Samurkasovi played along with Lasha Gvalia.
In the first half Locomotive had an advantage. Zuriko Davitashvili could have opened the score, his distant shot was repelled on a corner by Davit Kupatadze.
Otar Kobakhidze had a good chance to score. After cheating two footballers, Loco’s number 99 was not able to kick accurately.
After the first half, which ended without a goal, the host team also had a chance to score. Within the penalty area, Giorgi Guruli came first on the ball passed from the corner.His difficult header was repelled by Revaz Tevdoradze.
In the counter attack, Kupatadze repelled Oluremi’s and then Kobakhidze’s shots.
American striker could not benefit from the 100 % scoring moment in the following episode. After Ardazishvili’s pass, Oluremi was not able to net in the empty door.
The score was opened by Ivan Fatich at the 77th minute. After passing the ball from a corner, the defender of Samtredia played accurately in the penalty area and scored against Tevdoradze in the left low corner.
During the compensated time, the substituent, Rati Ardazishvili, could have equalized the score, however, Loco’s midfielder was outclassed by the goalkeeper of the host team.
After 28 rounds, Locomotive take the 6th position with 32 points. Lasha Chaghiashvili’s team will be competing with the current champion, Torpedo Kutaisi, on October 17th. The above mentioned clash was due the third circle, however, because of Torpedo’s participation in the Euro tours, the match was delayed.
